The standing rib roast recipe is an English twist to the roast. It is a perfect centerpiece dish for a Christmas feast. The flavor of red wine present in it makes it super tasty.
Dijon mustard - ⅓ cup
Minced garlic - 2 tbsp
Thyme leaves - 1 tbsp
Ground pepper - 2 tbsp
Olive oil - 3 tbsp
Rib roast - 13 pound
Rosemary leaves - ½ chopped
Diced onions - 1
Celery - 3 ribs
Red wine - 1
Mushroom - 1 pound
Salt - as per taste
Chicken stock - 2 cups
- Take pepper, rosemary, and garlic and combine them in a small bowl. Slightly add olive oil.
- Take the rib roast and apply the above paste to the beef meat.
- Then take a pan and roast onions, celery, and mushroom in it. Add olive oil and salt according to taste.
- Slowly add the red wine.
- Preheat the oven to 450 o
- Make a layer of veggies on the baking tray. On the above it, put the rib roast and place it in the oven.
- Cook it until it turns brown for around 25-30 minutes.
- In between cooking, apply some chicken stock on the meat to keep it wet.
- Take the rib roast out when appropriately cooked.
- Make the slices of roast.
- Serve hot with veggies.
